Fluor is committed to investing our time, talent and funding in the economic health of the community, and to making our presence in Paducah and the neighboring communities visible and appreciable.
The FPDP team will contribute to the sustainability of the region by actively engaging in educational outreach, purchasing commodities and services regionally, helping attract and grow small businesses and supporting the community through select charitable contributions and volunteerism. We will work with stakeholders and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to sustain the area’s vitality through changing missions.

The Fluor Matching Gifts Program encourages employees to contribute to primary and secondary schools, technical schools, colleges, universities, and scholarships. The Fluor Foundation matches employee contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000 per year per employee.
Fluor Corporation’s formal employee volunteer program, Fluor Cares, is the heart of the company’s community involvement efforts. Started in 1976 by J. Robert Fluor, the program engages and empowers employees to make a difference in their communities, extending Fluor’s philanthropic impact. In 2013, employees volunteered nearly 45,000 hours to help enrich the lives of those in their communities. Year after year, Fluor employees donate their time, money, energy and support to those less fortunate. For example, during the 2013 Employee Giving Campaign, Fluor and its employees pledged $4.9M to the United Way and other health and human services agencies. Fluor and its employees support more than 117 United Way agencies and 706 health and human services organizations.
